Join us in Ely library (twinned with Sambir Library in Ukraine) to experience Ukrainian food, Ukrainian crafts, telling of a Ukrainian Folk Tale by Daria Kulesh and a music concert by Mariia Petrovska.
In the craft session you will learn how to make a straw mobile known as a pavuk. It is a traditional Christmas decoration crafted from woven wheat or rye straw, symbolizing the universe, harmony, and protection.
This event is part of the Libraries Connected Ukraine Twinning Scheme and supported by funding from the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
The Libraries Connected Ukraine Twinning Scheme was created to allow libraries to exchange skills, develop joint initiatives, connect audiences and celebrate UK and Ukrainian literature and culture.
