Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets for all events are available from our website, within our libraries and by phone 01353 616991.

Do I need a physical ticket or can I show a digital ticket when I arrive?

We will accept physical and digital tickets. If for any reason you can’t find your ticket on the day, we can check you off using the full name of the person who made the booking.

Do I need a ticket for all of The Library Presents events?

Yes, you will need a ticket for all of our events.

I booked my tickets in a library, will I get a confirmation email and reminder email before the event?

No, we take your email at the library but an automated email is not generated because of the way the ticket booking system works. You should be given a paper receipt for proof of purchase. We will contact you manually if an event is postponed or cancelled.

Can I bring my baby with me? Do they need a ticket?

For events marked All Ages or Families you can bring your baby (under 12 months old) with you for free, they do not need a ticket.

Can I drop my child off at a workshop or performance?

All children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+ YRS) who has purchased a ticket (this applied to performances and workshops). If you child under 12 years old is disabled you can book a free companion ticket to accompany them.

I'm disabled, does my companion need a ticket?

Disabled customers who need a companion to accompany them should book a free companion ticket when booking their own.

I have a service animal, can I bring them?

Yes. Service animals are welcome. We have flexible seating and can easily accomodate you.

I use a wheelchair / mobility aid, where will I be seated?

Seating is arranged with freestanding chairs so we will keep a space with a good view free for you. If you prefer a different location when you arrive we can usually accommodate this.

I need a hearing loop, how do I make sure one is available?

Some events have hearing loops as standard - if the event has a hearing loop already you can book a ‘hearing loop ticket’. If an event doesn’t have a hearing loop advertised email us with 10 days notice and we will do our best to arrange one for you. If we cannot arrange one we will offer you a refund. How much do performance tickets cost?

It's £8 for a standard performance ticket, but concessions are available - £5 Students and Senior Citizens (over 66), £4 Children (under 16), Unwaged and Disabled.

How much do workshop tickets cost?

It's £6 for a workshop ticket, but concessions are available - £3 Children (under 16), Unwaged, Disabled, Students, Senior Citizens (over 66).

Do you have family or group tickets?

For selected family shows all tickets are £4 or £14 for a group of four people including at least one child and one adult.

What are "Pay what you think" tickets?

Some of our performances allow you to choose a pricing option that is affordable for you - with prices starting from £2. When choosing think about what the performance is worth to you and what you can afford. If you pay more you are supporting the whole programme and making sure ticket prices are accessible to as many people as possible.

I've booked a ticket but I can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

To obtain a ticket refund you must inform us at least 7 days in advance. If you contact us after this we may still be able to refund your ticket, this will be on a case by case basis.

How can I get added to a waiting list for Sold Out events?
