MJ Robotham: A former journalist and midwife, Mandy Robotham swapped birth for books when her first novel was published in 2018. She has been a USA Today bestseller and a five times Globe and Mail bestseller, with seven historical dramas selling over a million copies. She branched out as M J Robotham with The Scandalous Life of Ruby Devereaux in 2024.

Emma Flint: Since childhood, Newcastle-born Emma has been drawn to true-crime stories, developing an encyclopaedic knowledge of real-life murder cases from the early 20th century. Her first novel, Little Deaths, was inspired by a crime that took place in 1960s New York.
