Sarah presents their debut children's novel, Cottonopolis, published by Northodox Press and shortlisted for the Little Rebels Children's Book Award 2025.
Set in Victorian Manchester, Cottonopolis tells the story of 12-year-old mill girl Nellie Doyle and her struggle to keep her family together.
It draws on Manchester’s history at the centre of the Industrial Revolution, with a twist of magic and queer romance as Nellie starts to understand her feelings for her friend Chloe.
